0061 Advanced Grant Writing



Course Details

Building from the Grant Writing course, this course is designed for those who seek to increase their effectiveness in the field of grant writing and grant management. The course will include: Request for Proposal Analysis, Hands-On-writing, Use of Statistics, Collaboration, Identification of Support Documentation, Sharpening Your Grant Writing Skills. Your pre-course assignment will be a grant proposal draft or proposal previously submitted (awarded or denied) for review and you are encouraged to have identified a specific grant opportunity from a private, corporate foundation or federal or state grant opportunity. This session features small group work and one-on-one technical assistance. The Grant Writing course, other course work and/or knowledge of grant writing basics are recommended prerequisites to this course.

This course counts as a Key Elective course under Fundraising for the Certificate in Nonprofit Management effective September 1, 2011.
